                    Hope you all are doing well and liking my posts. Today we will talk about lukewarm water i.e. how lukewarm water boosts our immune system. We all know that “Lukewarm water is the world’s first and foremost medicine”. We should also learn a lesson from present “ground water crisis” situation. Save every drop of water for future generations. Nature has provided us many resources like water, plants, air, energy, natural gas. It’s our duty to save water otherwise we cannot save ourselves. Let’s talk about lukewarm water and its role in making us healthy both physically and mentally.





Lukewarm Water:


Lukewarm water is that water which is moderately warm. The word lukewarm has been derived from two English words one is Lew which means tepid and other is warm. Thus lukewarm water is that which is neither too hot nor too cold.

For example: If a person puts hand in warm water but he/she feels it slightly warmer than body temperature that will be called lukewarm water.




Lukewarm water Temperature:


There are various schools of thought that have different opinions regarding temperature of lukewarm water. Some school of thought say that lukewarm water is closely temperature of room but others say that lukewarm water is slightly warmer than body temperature. Room temperature ranges between 72 to 74 Fahrenheit and body temperature is 98.6 Fahrenheit.
      
          I. According to one school of thought the temperature of lukewarm water ranges from 100 to 110 Fahrenheit.
              II. According to another school of thought the lukewarm water temperature ranges from 98 to 105 Fahrenheit.


How we can measure temperature of Lukewarm water:

We can measure temperature of lukewarm water by putting hand in it. If we feel that water is slightly warmer than body temperature then it is lukewarm in nature. Other option is we can measure its temperature by using ‘thermometer’.


Art of making water a lukewarm:

First of all get a large volume of water in utensil. Put that utensil on gas and start boiling it. Remove it from heat source. You have to wait until it cool down to room temperature. When it is cooled down to room temperature, wait for 10-15 minutes and then take it.


Difference between Lukewarm and Hot water:

Lukewarm water is neither too hot nor too cold. Its temperature is described as temperature of room or slightly more than body temperature. On the other hand hot water is that when temperature is high i.e. 130F (54.4 C) or above.



Nutrients in Water:

First we need to understand what nutrients are? Nutrients are the substance by which an organism gets energy or it is used for biosynthesis of its body. For example: Carbohydrate and fat are source of energy. Whereas proteins and minerals are the nutrient used for biosynthesis.
                        Now we understand what water is. Water is important component of body. 65-75% of weight of body is water.

Functions of Lukewarm Water:

1. Lukewarm water controls temperature of body by sweating and vaporizing.
2. It helps in excretion of excretory substances from body.
3. Maximum organic chemical reactions in body perform through ‘Hydrolysis’.



Amazing Health Benefits of Lukewarm Water:



1. Weight Loss: Due to changing life style, increase in consumption of carbohydrate weight of human body is increasing. Some people are falling under the category of obesity. Lukewarm water plays an important role in reducing weight. Lukewarm water increases the temperature of body which results in strong metabolism. Lukewarm water burns the fat that is stored in our body.

2. Toxin Elimination: Lukewarm water eliminates the toxins that are accumulated in body. When toxins start accumulating in body it results in growth of bad hormone that is ‘Cortisol’. Lukewarm water in an empty stomach helps in removal of ‘Cortisol’ hormone.

3. Urinary tract Infection: UTI infections are more common in women. UTI is caused due to bacteria that is ‘E.coli’. Lukewarm water plays an important role in elimination of bacteria. As doctors prescribe Alkasip which increases pressure of urine. Same role is played by lukewarm water.

4. Healthy Kidney: Infection in kidney takes place due to growth of bacteria. It results in inflammation of kidney. If kidney infection is not treated then it results in damage of kidney. Drink lukewarm water to flush out bacteria from kidneys. Aim to drink at least 8 glasses of lukewarm water daily.

5. Cardiovascular disease: When blood starts thickening in artery walls it results in CAD that is ‘Coronary Artery Disease’. Common cause of cardiovascular disease is ‘Atherosclerosis’ (Growth of bad cholesterol in artery walls). Lukewarm water helps in thinning of blood. It helps in burning of fat stored in walls of artery thus good cholesterol level increases. One should drink a glass of lukewarm water before going to bed at night. It results in thinning of blood and avoids heart attacks or stroke at night. It also controls blood pressure by reducing clots of blood.

6. Stress and Anxiety: Due to our changing life style, environmental factors, socio economic factors stress and anxiety is increasing. When bad hormone ‘Cortisol’ grows in body then one gets more stressed. Lukewarm water keeps us mentally healthy.One should drink lukewarm water to flush out stress hormone. For example: If Body weight is 150 pounds then drink 75 to 150 ounces water a day.

7. Removal of Acne: In teenagers and young adults acne on skin is a major problem. Acne mostly occurs on oily skin. Lukewarm water prevents growth of acne. It moisturizes our skin and improve circulation of organs. Skin starts getting nutrition from lukewarm 
water and results in deconstruction of cells.

8. Skin Infection: During rainy season chances of skin infection increases. Main cause of skin infection is growth of fungus. Lukewarm water removes fungal infection through sweating.

9. Cough: Dry cough irritates the throat. Lukewarm water is good home remedy for cough. It reduces the inflammation in the throat. Mix lukewarm water with salt and do gargles.

10. Asthma: Asthma is caused due to fungus ‘Aspergillus Fumigatus’. It causes obstruction in airways by increasing growth of fungal balls. Lukewarm water helps in reducing congestion and increases flow of oxygen through airways.

11. Healing wound: Lukewarm water helps in healing wounds especially open wounds. Soak the wounded area in lukewarm water for 20 minutes 3 times a day. Open wounds can be healed by mixing salt into lukewarm water.

12. Probiotic: Lukewarm water plays an important role in growth of good bacteria that is Probiotics. Probiotics powder can be mixed with lukewarm water. We can drink mixed probiotic beverage with our meal. 

13. Enhance digestion: Lukewarm water plays an important role in various diseases that are weakening our digestive system like Irritabel Bowel Syndrome (IBS), GERD (Gastroesophagel Reflux Disease). Lukewarm water stimulates natural digestive enzyme and therefore digestion is enhanced. Lukewarm water neutralizes digestion.

14. Increase supply of Oxygen: Lukewarm water increases supply of oxygen thus prevents from heart attack. It enhances blood circulation and activity of nerves. Thus our nervous system becomes healthy because it breaks down fat that is stored around it.

15. GERD: Gastroesophagel Reflux Disease is that in which stomach acid irritates food pipeline. Lukewarm water cures GERD because it breaks down food more easily and bowel movement becomes better. By drinking lukewarm water in the morning, the acid goes out through urine.

22. Back Pain: Drinking plenty of lukewarm water reduces back pain. You should stretch your spine forward and backward periodically. It will result in rehydration of disk and provide enough water to body for work.

23. Kidney Stone: The stones in kidney are mainly calcium oxalates. You should drink plenty of lukewarm water to flush out kidney stone through urine. Drink 1 to 2 liters of lukewarm water daily.

24. Arthrities: Lukewarm water relaxes muscle spasms, joint pains. One should bath with lukewarm water because it soothes our nerves. Lukewarm water improves circulation of blood thus reduces symptoms of arthritis like cramps and inflammation.

25. Tonsillits: Tonsillits means inflammation at back of throat. It is caused due to bacterial and viral infection. Gargling with salt lukewarm water reduces inflammation and soothes a sore throat.


26. Insomnia: Insomnia means lack of sleep. Insomnia results into stress, depression and anxiety. Insomnia patients should drink plenty of lukewarm water to stay hydrated.

27. Ulcer: Ulcers are caused due to acid produced by stomach in body. Lukewarm water absorb the acid when we drink it an empty stomach. If you cannot drink water on an empty stomach then take a cup of curd every morning to get rid of ulcers.

28. Constipation: One should drink a cup of lukewarm water in an empty stomach. It improves bowel movements and aid constipation.

29. Parkinson’s disease: Parkinson’s disease is that disease which affects Central Nervous System (CNS) and main symptom is tremor when dopamine level in body drops. Lukewarm water relaxes muscles and lessens rigidity. Tremors are also lessened if patient baths with lukewarm water.

30. Baldness: Lukewarm water increases the growth of hairs. It promotes activity of hair roots thus results in soft, shiny hair. Lukewarm water also fights against dandruff because it keeps our scalp hydrated.

31. Cancer: Lukewarm water promotes physical health. Lukewarm water prevents growth of colon, bladder and breast cancer because it increases reproduction of cells in body.


32. Mensuration Cycle: Lukewarm water helps in reducing pain due to mensuration. One can apply lukewarm water bottle on pelvic and thus it helps to cure cramps as well as spasms.

33. Immune System: Lukewarm water enhances our immune system. Vitamin C is great for strengthening immune system. One can mix ½ lemon in one glass of water and pour it before meals.

34. Improve Respiratory Tract: Lukewarm water dissolves phlegm and improves our respiratory tract. It also helps in clearing nasal congestion and relief from sore throat.

35. Fatty Liver: Fatty liver means fat started building up in liver. Major risk is obesity and type 2 diabetes. Lukewarm water after mixing with ½ lemon detoxify the blood and support the liver. Lemon contains citric acid which helps to break down the fatty acids.


Learn Lesson from Japan:

It is very popular in Japan to drink lukewarm water in empty stomach in morning. According to Japanese society as you wake up in morning drink 4*160 ml glass of lukewarm water. According to Japanese society following diseases can be cured within couple of days by drinking plenty of lukewarm water.
