Origin of Word ‘OK’:

1. It is claimed that written records of term OK is found as back as early 1800’s.

2. One school of thought claims that it originates during a war in 1839 when soldiers from war front called for back from the reserve, the medium used was telegraph. When reports about death of their soldiers and if they found no one killed then they report it as O killed. This O killed turned into positive word ‘OK’ means everything is alright.
